Making a Healthy New Year Start in September

September 20th, 2009

For me, September rather than January, feels like the beginning of a New Year.
September is a time to start fresh, to reorganize, get back on track and into a routine. As much as we love the lazy hazy days of summer; it feels good to get back to a routine and get our lives back under control.

Healthy U News has been going through some changes this summer and now our new format is this blog. I hope you like our new look.
We will provide you with up to date ideas and tips on health and wellness.
As well, we want to make this a place where we can connect, exchange ideas, interact with each other and provide you with the information you are looking for.
As a Baby Boomer, I am on a mission to find the best information and resources on antiaging, ways to keep fit and healthy, and how to keep our minds and bodies as young as we possibly can. Our third life phase can and should be the best years of our lives.
Come and join the journey. It’s a lot more fun when we all work together.

So, what are your plans for this September New Year?

• Getting the Family back on schedule
• Organizing your time better
• Planning Healthy Meals and Lunches
• Back to your exercise program
• Taking a course
• Making some new healthy habits

Instead of trying to change an old habit, focus on a new habit.

• Grab a piece of fruit for your mid morning snack
• Add a salad to your lunch.
• At break, have a walk and chat with friends.
• Use the stairs whenever you can.

Here’s a video that will help you to kick start your New Habits.

Leave me a comment. What are you planning for September?

Happy Healthy September New Year Everyone.

Sincerely,
